Town of Waterville
Waterville is on a narrow neck of land between Ballinskelligs Bay and the beautiful Lough Currane. It is a strategic fishing point both on the sea front and on Lough Currane. A monument has been erected, along the promenade, to one of Waterville’s most famous visitor, Charlie Chaplin and his family who used to regularly visit this area and stay in the Butler Arms Hotel.

On the edge of Ballinskelligs Bay is Ballinskelligs, the seaside resort. Students conduct summer trips to Ballinskelligs, a part of the Gaeltacht to learn the Irish language. There is miles of sandy beaches and superb scenery.
